The Reporter includes preferences that allow you to define default behaviors.
Access report preferences:
-
Select Tools > Preferences from the Main Menu.
The preferences for the currently accessed module display.
-
Click the Report option in the Module/Category list.
Your preferences for the Reporter display.
The following list describes the preferences available for the Reporter:
-
Bounced Email: The return path for bounced emails.
-
This setting defines the email address for the user who should receive messages regarding bounced emails.
-
Entering SENDER sends bounced emails back to the sender of the specific email.
-
Leaving this preference blank results in bounced emails being sent to the email address defined as the system default during implementation.
-
CC / BCC Email: Lists the email address of any individual who should be copied or blind copied on reports sent via email. Listing SENDER results in the individual sending the report receiving a copy or blind copy.
-
Email FROM / FROM NAME: Provides the opportunity to specify the individual who should be listed as the FROM NAME and FROM email address on reports emailed from the system.
-
If these preferences are left blank, the individual sending the report is listed as the FROM and FROM NAME.
-
If a different name is preferred, enter the name and email address as specified.
-
Number of Lines Per Report Section: Determines how many records should be displayed before another report section is generated.
The following information should be considered when defining this preference:
-
This setting determines how many records will be displayed vertically on one HTML Page. The reader will use the scroll bar to scroll down to see additional records.
-
Each section prints separately, so it is important not to make this setting too low.
-
Setting this preference too high could affect system performance.
-
This preference is typically set to 1000 by default.
-
Individual reports can be defined with a different page size.
-
Replacement / Additional Logo: A replacement logo replaces the logo displayed in the upper-left of each report. The additional logo adds a logo to the upper-middle section of the report.
Important!
A valid URL accessible to all users must be specified for these images.
-
Select the preference you want to edit.
The Set Preference window opens, displaying a description for the preference on the left and an area to indicate the desired value on the right.
-
Make your changes.
-
Click the Apply button.
You are returned to the Preferences window, and your new setting displays.
-
Repeat as necessary.
